Cran-Orange Overnight Oats

Another simple festive breakfast recipe for you to try out! I’ve been making this oatmeal all week to fuel my brain for exam studying. To me, orange, cranberry, and cinnamon is such a lovely combination that is both calming and boosting. Just what I needed to kick start my mornings. Thankfully exams are done so I can relax and de-stress with my friends, family, and good food! My sister also flew home last night after being away at university all semester, so I’m feeling very thankful and happy to be able to spend the holidays with her! šŸ™‚ I hope you all have some wonderful plans for the holidays and are able to re-connect with family and friends! There’s nothing better than nurturing relationships with important people in your life. It’s never too late to re-kindle what might be lost or faintly there, and spread love and joy. Life is too short to be caught up in our own egos. Try this oatmeal for a pleasant and uplifting breakfast!

Yield:Ā 1 serving


IngredientsĀ 

  • 1/2 c gluten-free oats
  • 3 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or agave
  • 2 tbsp dried cranberries
  • 1 tbsp flax meal
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 c orange juice
  • 3/4 c water (or non-dairy milk)

Toppings

  • walnuts
  • pistachios
  • mandarin oranges
  • berries
  • pomegranate seeds

  1. PlaceĀ all ingredients in a jar. Mix well
  2. Cover, and store in the fridge over night
  3. Enjoy the next morning cold or transfer to a glass bowl to heat up
  4. Add whatever toppings you desire
